Client Story: Sewing Masks for Area Hospitals

The Clients
Three Atlanta women banded together at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic to help solve a pressing problems for health-care workers: a shortage of protective face masks.
They met on Facebook over a weekend, and by that Monday they had assembled 150 volunteers and enough material to sew 60,000 masks. Sewing Masks for Area Hospitals was up and running, and they wanted an attention-grabbing website to replace their Coming Soon page.
The requirements: bold design, easy to read, and connected to their social media channels.
The Solution
Colorful, real-time statistics and a big display of thank-yous from many grateful hospitals set the tone for the website design.
A “Journey of a Mask” feature shows the process from donation & assembly to delivery & being worn on smiling faces.
Real-time updates of their Facebook and Instagram feeds on their website keep group members connected.

“Kelly was a joy to work with — she wasn’t only technically astute, she always brought a great attitude and sense of humor to the task at hand. She had a ton of original ideas that made our site great and wasn’t afraid to take initiative where needed. We ended up with a great product, and will continue to work with Kelly on future projects!”
